Best Core Exercises for Abs | Large Exercise Ball
Let Kris J Simpson guide you through the best core exercises for abs using the large exercise ball to increase your core strength and stability.
Getting a six pack is easier said than done but it’s not complicated. In fact, it’s extremely simple. Let Kris J Simpson guide you through the best core exercises for abs using the large exercise ball to increase your core strength and stability.
Training your muscles, especially your abs, burns calories and aids in fat loss. There are almost thirty muscles attached to your abs and together they enable the body to move as an integrated unit.
There are several benefits associated with stomach exercises beyond getting defined abs. For example, doing regular stomach exercises helps your body to attain a better posture because your muscles will be stronger. Also, you’ll probably notice that your lower back will be more flexible, and your digestion will improve through regular stomach exercise as well.
There are no “weird tricks” or “hacks” to achieving abs. If you want a lean stomach, you’re going to have to eat right, train, and be patient. If you’re willing to commit to months of this, and not days, then you can get to where you want to be.
If you’re starting an exercise routine, it’s important to focus on the lower abs first because this area is the most difficult to strengthen and tone. The upper abs will tone and tighten naturally as the lower abs become stronger. Knee tucks and pikes are a couple of examples of effective ab exercises.
Knee tucks: What I need you to do is set yourself up in a bridge with the top of your feet on the ball, then tuck your knees in, creating a ball. Tuck in as hard as you can, contracting your core.
Pikes: With the pike, what I want you to do is put your toes on the ball, pike up, almost like a downward dog position that you would do in yoga. With your hands firmly on the ground and your toes on the ball, bend your legs in and out so that your abs contract.
Case in point: Aim for 2-3 ab workouts per week, in addition to your regular fitness plan to maximize results and achieve the physique of your dreams!
